My answers to the questions of understanding part in Lesson 3

Social Computing Key Questions:

1. I do not know this means skill but I think that having curiosity is important to use social software.

2. Softwares will decrease the physical limits such as time, place etc. However, if these development would excessively advanced, the human nature such as the face-to-face relationship would be thin.


3. Technology makes us research with few papers and substantial burdens.

4. I think useful skills will not change largely. Reading, writing, speaking and listening skills and understanding also be required to be effective learner in the digital age.

My ideas about Blog as e-Portfolio

1, Think: Do you need an e-portfolio?
Yes.

2, Explore: What main benefits/disadvantages do you see (if you see any) in the design of an e-portfolio compared to a traditional resume? (SCICU e-Portfolio)
The benefit which I come up is convenience. The disadvantage is that it makes me a little to think with hand, pen, or annotating.

3, Explain: Write a post reflecting on your blog as an e-Portfolio with reference to the four Key Questions. (SCICU e-Portfolio)Social Computing Key Questions:
1. What are the main skills needed to use social software?
I think it is the computer literacy.

2. What are the affordances (what the software makes possible, what it impedes)?
It makes us easy to communicate, not concerning the real time, space and etc...

3. How can the technology be used to network professionally and connect users to learning resources?
Though I do not know the detail, the development of Internet Technology will give us more possibilities.

4. What learned skills and understandings may promote your development as an effective learner in the digital age?
It is the reading, writing, listening, speaking, and computer literacy.

My Answers to the questions about Babarasi: The First Link

1, There are two elements or factors.One is the Paul's firsthand knowledge of the social network of the first century's civilized world from Rome to Jerusalem. Another is the Paul's wisdom that made him spread Christianity from biggest communities.

2, In my opinion, it will happen again. Moreover the efficiency will rise because the technology such as the Internet is developing.

3, Maps of Internet, companies connected by trade or ownership, interactions between species in ecosystem and the genes working together in a cell have been made of our interconectivity. Moreover, I would like to see maps of the relation between nation and world.

4, The "real surprise " is that such maps follow a common blueprint. Personally, this does not suprise me.

5, The author defines that the nature of most scientific reserach in the 20th Century is Reductionism. The problem associated with such an approach is that reseracher was forced to investigate world through its constituents.

6, Scientific research will put impotance on the relation. In my view, it is desirable.
